OXINE® Approved for Horticulture Applications

Norman, OK
Bio-Cide International, Inc. was recently awarded a new approval from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) for the use of its OXINE® antimicrobial for horticulture applications.

“OXINE® technology will give growers the ability to control waterborne plant pathogens like Pythium, Phytophthora and Fusarium as well as biofilm and algae throughout their facility water systems,” said Bio-Cide International’s Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Vice President of Technical Affairs. “Outbreaks of these and other waterborne pathogens can be devastating to growers. OXINE® is a reliable and cost-effective tool for greater productivity,” Khanna added.

“Horticulture is a key area of application where our years of sanitation experience can now be utilized,” commented Bob Picek,Technical Sales Manager. “We are glad that this application is now EPA registered for our OXINE® label. OXINE® eliminates most microbial issues at grower facilities at doses as low as 1 ppm to 5 ppm. When used with our convenient, cost effective delivery systems, growers will be better able to
avoid the problems microbes cause. OXINE® will help the horticulture industry continue their dramatic productivity gains and help reduce disease related losses,” said Picek.
